I was told to install an earlier version of java so it would work with Pogo,com games.  However when I go into the java panel to assign IE as my browser, Mozilla is already checked and I am unable to check  box for IE.

I've already been there and gotten no help.  Perserverence pays off, I'm happy to say.
I finally found a site I was able to download an earlier version of Java from and install that alllows IE as the browser.  IT WAS NOT JAVA!!!  Sorry you weren't able
to help.

2. Type cmd, and then press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to open the elevated command prompt (I.e. Command prompt with administrative rights).
3. The User Account Control window should appear, be sure that the action it exhibits is correct, and then press the Continue button.
4. Type or copy paste the below command line into it without quotes:
