Am I able to use a macro in word 2007 that gets a mail merge document to print and staple every 12 pages?

I created a document in Microsoft Word 2007 that contains about 12 pages of various forms. 
Some of the forms are duplicated.  I am merging info into the word doc from an excel spreadsheet containing over 3,500 names along with other demographic info. 
I want to be able to print and staple the 12-page document separately for each person (rather than print one massive pile of docs). 
Is there a way to write a macro to tell it to staple after every 12 pages?  
Since it is not the usual kind of letter created using mail merge I am guessing I would need a special code using the visual basic editor. 
It would be so helpful to not have to manually collate and staple 3,500 x 12 pages of docs.

• Open Run command as previously described
• Type MSConfig
• Click on Boot tab
• Tick Safe boot in Boot option
• Select Network
• Click Apply and OK
• Reboot your system
